This week has felt like a month and this month has felt like a year. While I have been practicing social distancing, I have also been implementing some social media distancing the past few days. I didn’t delete the apps or anything, but I have stuck to checking the stories of people I want to check in specifically and not scrolling mindlessly. Right now every app I open can be mentally jarring if I’m not careful. That being said, I still had a pretty good week with some fun moments and finds so I will round out this portion of the post with a reminder to check on your black colleagues and maybe give them a little grace.

I’m pretty sure everyone’s days right now are centered around what we’re eating and this week I’ve been into Chrissy Tiegen’s Cool Ranch Taco Salad from her Cravings: Hungry for More cookbook. So into it that I’ve had it four times this week. It also pairs really well with an Emma Reichart reisling I’ve been trying out that is super affordable but nice quality.

A few other things I have been into this week:

  • Labor of Love – A new show on Fox that sounds so cringy but I found relatable. It’s like The Bachelor but with grownups with the solid goal of having kids and a stable family. Plus the houses are modern and stunning.
  • Look What You Made Me Do – I know this is an old song, but Taylor has been such a boss recently that I’ve been into her vengeful music lately. And then I ran across this newer reaction video done by a music video editor that went into the details of how genius the music video was for this song.
  • New Products – I tried the L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze Hydrating Self-Tanning Water Mousse and liked it. There were no streaks and no build-up on the rough areas like my ankles that I did not exfoliate well at all. I also tried this Curls Blueberry Bliss Control Paste and it works so well. It doesn’t make your hair hard or sticky and I don’t end up with the spiky flyaways I get with some hair gels.
  • TikTok – This isn’t a platform that a go on regularly, but lately I’ve been scrolling the For You page. My favorites that show up on mine are set to a sound called “Do You Wanna Fight Me” and it’s just house cat siblings squaring off. Pure amusement and great for getting your mind off of things.
  • This house is stunning. It is not my usual style, but for $20 million I think it’s everyone’s style. I could maybe afford to rent a sliver of their driveway. A girl can dream though.
